Florida has more than 30,000 cases of the Corona Virus in the state. The same state that opened back the beaches and some recreational activities in the state. Miami has a confirmed 10,926 cases in the city with 287 deaths. There’s been a report of 1,300 cases on Thursday alone. That is the highest in a day since April the 13th. The governor stated that it may take the state longer to reopen because of the higher number of cases being reported. Graduation for the class of 2020 has been moved to an online service that will be televised.

I am saddened because as a graduating senior all the work I’ve put into my high school years felt like it was for nothing. I won’t even be walking across a stage. Knowing the circumstances i appreciate the accommodations but i just wish it could have been a lot more different. Florida has the greatest number of new cases that continue increase. The author of the passage was simply informing the public on the facts of the number of cases of COVID-19 in the state of Florida. The Governor stated it will take longer to reopen the state. Even when doing so things would be different for a while. As for graduating seniors like myself expectations will have to be lowered.
